For 2018 the WR250F received a reworked engine with a reshaped cylinder head and intake funnel, new cams and valve springs, a lighter piston and revised ECU mapping. It also adopted the YZ250F bilateral beam frame, slightly wider than before, with revised suspension settings. The bike keeps its enduro-specific extras over the motocrosser: six-speed gearbox, electric start and a radiator fan.
